Last night we went out fir dinner to Sanafir, a tapas type place and the food was AMAZING! We met up with our friend Manjusha which was cool. I love when we travel to these places for conferences and other people we know are traveling there too!

This food was so delicious, we got a tuna salad, spinach falafel and then a big platter!

For dessert we has banana and mango spring rolls with a plum wine chocolate ganache, Chinese 5 spice chocolate cake with sweet red bean sauce, and burnt orange baklava filled with nuts! So good!

This afternoon we are off to Stanley Park!

I am writing this 35,000 feet in the air! Yes we made it into the air. And I'm listening to the Music of Glee: Journey to the Regionals, on the entertainment system!

These pictures are from Thursday night, when we went to the Swan and Firkin for my leaving meal as yesterday was my last day at work. We had such a good night - good food and good company :)

That last picture makes me smile, the kids in our class used to just call us both Nina Hannah as though it was one name and we both had the same name! They're all older now though but we rocked that class as teachers! Christina has moved classes too so there will be 2 new teachers in there from Monday. I hope my toddlers cope ok! It was heart breaking saying bye to them all. After spending 9 hours a day, 5 days a week with these kids for the last year I've become so attached to them and love them so much.

Camp Ma Kee Wa

This weekend I have been on Pack Holiday/Brownie Camp with the Brownies and Guides. We went to Ma Kee Wa near Orangeville (about an hour outside Toronto) and we had a blast! Saturday afternoon was spent tobogganing down a big hill near the barn we were staying in and I couldn't resist joining in, going down the hill in inflatable tires, sleds, and surf boards!

On Saturday morning we went on a walk around the camp site and found the Enchanted Forest. The story goes that the forest is filled with fairies, pixies, elves etc and they built a toadstool deep within, but then they got scared and now they are hiding.
We did see some other magical things in the forest though...

Whilst out we also saw a red tailed hawk land and actually catch its dinner! Pretty cool!

So, you know how in my post yesterday I talked about how Spring was here, the weather was warmer and how my winter coat had retired for the season... well I spoke too soon!
Today it has snowed! A LOT. We have had about a foot of snow. At work we made snow mountains and snowballs. Where has Spring gone?

Found: Jaffa cake replacements! We have been looking for a Jaffa cake replacement since we came to Canada as these are one of Mike's favourites and this weekend we finally found it at Walmart.
Mmmmm... Say Cheese Cheese popcorn from Kernels...
... because this weekend we finally watched Black Swan! And I really liked the film. It was kinda weird though and it's hard to tell at times what is real and what isn't. It's one of those films that your still thinking about for days after and read up on after watching to better understand what was going on! I think I need to see it again sometime as I think it's one of those where I'll see things I missed the first time round.

Also this weekend I have been really into Cougar Town. I can't help it I really love this show. Maybe it's because I was such a Friends fan, I don't know, but this weekend I have been catching up on season 2. I'm still not totally caught up, I'm on episode 10 now and I'm totally calling (and secretly hoping) Laurie and Travis get together! I think it would be so sweet! Haha.
