Ahhh I love these cute bicycles! It makes me think of spring and the warmer weather. Last summer we had a friend from England over to stay and her and I went on a bike ride around the Toronto Islands on old fashioned blue bikes with little white baskets on the front and I had so much fun! Can't wait for the summer to come so I can go do it again

Yesterday was Family Day here in Ontario and Mike was off on Friday so we have had a lovely four day weekend.
Friday started off with pancakes for breakfast and then later a walk round High Park where we saw the zoo animals! Very exciting as we hadn't seen this part of the park before!

After a long walk round the park we stopped off to get a delicious pizza from Pizza Hut to take home for dinner - half pepperoni half chicken - and settled in to watch Forrest Gump (after eating at the Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurant in New York)!
The rest of the weekend we have just relaxed and taken it easy and on Sunday, Mike cooked fajitas for dinner for me for Valentine's Day which were amazing! :D

So last Wednesday Mike and I went to New York for 5 days and it was amazing! If you've never been I totally recommend it, I loved it!
On the flight over there were only 5 of us on the plane! So different from the trans Atlantic flights we're used too! We did all the usual tourist stuff. Went to the Rockafeller Center and went up to the Top of the Rock and got some amazing views of the Empire State building and Central park. We stayed went up while it was still light and stayed until it was dark and it was dark and all the lights came on and it looked so amazing. Saw Chicago on Broadway (where we had front row seats) and walked around times Square a lot and once when it was snowing and it felt so magical! We went up to the crown in the Statue of Liberty, visited the World Trade Center site, Wall Street and Brooklyn Bridge. Walked round Central Park in the freezing cold. We went round the Metropolitan Museum of Art and poked our noses in the American Museum of Natural History and Guggenheim Museum. Also got to go round Bloomingdales and Macy's which was awesome and saw the Empire State and Chrysler Buildings.
Also in the New York Public library they have on display the original Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore and Kanga that belonged to AA Milne's son Christoper Robin and inspired the stories - how cool is that?!
